The Bates Motel

Recently while mobbing the city of Silver Lake I fell upon the infamous Bates Motel. Vincent Lamouroux turned this deserted hotel where Psycho was filmed into an art exhibit call Projection LA. He painted the entire building white along with its nearby palm trees to show its contrast against the city. It’s painted with biodegradable material and will slowly but surely wear away. The French artist has now turned the already artistic and hip Silver Lake into a well known and “must go to place”, in case fellow LA’ers weren’t aware of it. There are tons of things to do just in that vicinity alone. Check it out of you haven’t already!! Hope you enjoy!

A cozy steal

I went to Costco yesterday and I found a sweatshirt by O’neal for $6.79!!! I initially went to the clothing area because I was going to use something warm to cover me up because I had to go into that freezer room they hold the dairy products in and I just so happened to see it. I couldn’t resist with that deal! It’s a light green stripped sweatshirt with a drawstring to adjust the hood.

Flirty 30 trip

I went to Cancun, Mexico for my 30th birthday with a friend late last month and had a blast. I couldn’t stop taking pictures of the amazing things I came across. It was rich in Mayan culture, bright colors, and beautiful sites to see. We stayed at the Grand Oasis Resort. We traveled to the state of Yacatan to visit the famous Chichen Itza Mayan pyramid along with the Cenote Ikil. Our tour guides were so warm and welcoming they definitely made the trip there that much more exhilarating. Our second adventure was taken on an excursion. We went on a catamaran that took us snorkeling to the underground museum, which was such an awesome sight. Then the boat took us to Isla Mujeres where we docked and then had dinner at another beach resort. We even got to experience the night life while there too. We danced the night away at the Congo bar. The trip was short and sweet but well worth it and I’ll definitely have to return to visit more beautiful places.

From high to low

I love my tie dye draped stretch maxi skirt. It’s actually a hand me down from a friend, she bought it at Forver 21. I wore the skirt with a black racer back bathing suit top by Billabong. The shoes are a swap meet find by Delicious Shoes.

Enjoy xoxo

Resort Appeal

I bought this black dress at Fashion Q for under $20!!! The dress has a drawstring and has a U shape bottum on both front and back. Super fun, can quickly turn this into a dressy look as I wore wedges with them or it can be a effortlessly chic bathing suit cover up. What do you think?
